WHAT IS MAKER FAIRE?
Maker Faire is the world’s largest family-friendly festival of invention & creativity, celebrating science, technology, engineering, arts, crafts & the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) mindset. It is an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, artists, students, and commercial exhibitors.
The first Maker Faire took place in 2006 in San Mateo USA and over the past 14 years, the festivals have gone global with more than 200 Maker Faires in more than 48 countries happening each year.
